Our school is lovely and beautiful. Look at those views! We have sea views, a fairy garden, an outdoor classroom, an outside stage, climbing equipment, a tee-pee and two football pitches. We grow flowers and fruit. We plant bulbs and grow potatoes.
We are a respectful school. We respect the rights of others by living our values; Honesty, Motivation, Compassion, Respect and Trust.
We do lots of exciting learning; playing games, exploring topics, creative activities, and house challenges to improve our school.
Burnhaven Primary School is situated in the north-east coastal town of Peterhead, approximately 30 miles from Aberdeen. It serves the catchment zone of the southwest of the town and the surrounding rural area. The current school roll is 57 children. The pupils are currently organised into 3 classes. The school has 3 Teaching staff and the Head Teacher. The school also works closely with a range of other support agencies and volunteers in order to provide the best possible experience for all children. Burnhaven School provides education for children aged 5 – 12 i.e. from P1 – P7 . On leaving Burnhaven Primary School the majority of pupils transfer to Peterhead Academy. Community links are a valued part of school life. The school has a very active and supportive Parent Council and PSA and encourages involvement of parents in the work of the school. These groups support school improvement activities and raise additional funds to provide many extras for the pupils in the school.
